Grand Canyon Elk, Lots Of them, Everywhere!

Elk are not native animals in Grand Canyon National Park, the elk were originally brought by train from Yellowstone National Park.  The elk were park of an effort to re-establish Arizona’s population, after they had gone extinct in the 1900s.

After years of this animal witnessing visitors at the grand canyon, posing for pictures in front of the canyon….they are now posing themselves for pictures.
